Stacey Dooley is to delve into world of viral health trends in a six-part BBC1 series produced by Limitless indie Nutopia.

With one in three Brits turning to social media for health advice and miracle cures, The Clickbait Clinic with Stacey Dooley will explore the influence of online trends, following the digital breadcrumbs to meet the key influencers and putting the science to the test. It will cover trends including fitness boosters, youth elixirs and fat busters.

The 6 x 30-minute series, which will air next year, was ordered by head of specialist factual Jack Bootle with commissioning editor Tom Coveney. Arif Nurmohamed, Tom Williams, Jane Root and Simon Willgoss will serve as executive producers with Caroline McCool as executive in charge of production.

The series was developed by Nicola Moody and Samantha Fernandes, and Joe Myerscough will serve as series director. It is understood that the BBC has not yet decided which slot the series will air in.
