Nutopia preps Clickbait Clinic digital spin-off.

Nutopia has announced it is making Clickbait Clinic Q&A (w/t), a new six-part digital-first spin off series for BBC YouTube and iPlayer, hosted by Stacey Dooley and Dr Alex George.

Building on the forthcoming BBC One and iPlayer series Clickbait Clinic with Stacey Dooley, the spin off series explores the health trends, claims and advice capturing attention online – answering the audiences’ biggest questions, “one viral claim at a time.”

Stacey Dooley said: “My feed, like so many others, is constantly filled with health hacks and tips claiming to have the answers to some of our biggest health questions. I’ve always wondered where these come from, and I’m excited to do some digging with Dr Alex and find out what’s really behind them.”

Dr Alex George said: “Social media can be a brilliant tool for sharing health content, but it can also leave us with a lot of questions. I see these trends and claims appearing in my own feed too, and I’m excited to explore some of the biggest questions people are asking online with Stacey and look at the science behind them.”

Across the series, Stacey and Alex take on questions from their online audience and team up with creators including RuPaul’s Drag Race star Paige Three, fitness influencer Lily Lifts, beauty and content creator Tennessee Thresher, and YouTube creator SV2. Together, they explore the science behind some of the internet’s most viral health claims appearing in people’s feeds.

Clickbait Clinic Q&A (w/t) is produced by Nutopia for the BBC, where Tom Williams, Jane Root and Simon Willgoss serve as Executive Producers, with Caroline McCool as Executive in charge of Production. Anna McVey is series producer and Liam Bagnall is series director. It is commissioned by Mariel Capisciolto, BBC Head of Digital Development, and Jack Bootle, Head of Commissioning, Specialist Factual, with Denise Mather as the BBC’s Digital Commissioner.

Clickbait Q&A (w/t) will debut on BBC YouTube and iPlayer later this year.
